Divisible electrical load cell DemiCell ®

Enertec Engineering AG has developed and launched an innovative, interchangeable electrical anchor load cell for determining forces and monitoring anchors.
The load cell is characterised by a minimal overall height and a large force range. Each cell is precisely matched to the anchor head to be monitored.

This makes it possible for the first time to replace load cells and retrofit existing anchors with force sensors with little effort.

The DemiCell (DC) interchangeable load cell is an electronic force sensor for monitoring anchors and determining prestressing forces, lifting forces and other large and small forces. The DemiCell consists of two half rings with pressure pieces made of high-strength stainless steel.

These pressure pieces are fitted with several strain gauges, which are arranged in a temperature-compensating bridge circuit. The sensor is designed to function reliably even under difficult conditions.
The main advantage of the DemiCell over conventional load cells is its ease of replacement. Lifting the anchor body (anchor nut) by a few tenths of a millimetre is sufficient to radially remove and replace the half rings. Existing anchors can also be retrofitted, provided a gap of at least 20 mm can be created by applying additional tension or relieving the load.

DemiCells are available with various output signals and can optionally be purchased with all the usual convenience features such as temperature measurement and automatic detection of the force range. Overvoltage protection is also available as an option.
