Description of the
The LCM load cell is an electronic force transducer for monitoring and determining anchor forces, crane forces and other large forces. The LCM consists of a stainless steel cylinder fitted with strain gauges in a temperature-compensated arrangement. The sensor is designed for use in harsh conditions: maintenance-free, dust and water-protected in accordance with IP 68, it can be used over a wide temperature range.
This load cell contains a built-in temperature sensor that provides additional information about the ambient conditions. The sensor itself is fully temperature-compensated.
LCM load cells are supplied in various load ranges and customised internal diameters to suit the respective anchor head. Special designs are available on request. The type of load cell is automatically recognised by the Enertec measuring devices. This means that the user does not have to manually select the type of load cell in order to obtain the correct force value.
The load cell has a calibrated output signal in mV/V. Thanks to a 6-wire circuit, the measurement signal is independent of the cable length. The measuring cable is securely attached to the load cell with a stainless steel cable gland and is watertight.
The cable length can be freely selected by the customer. The enclosed shielded cable contains a waterproof plug with cap. Versions without a plug are optionally available.
The housing of the LCM is also made of stainless steel and is therefore very robust, shock and impact resistant.
