Force measurement on the largest private construction site in Switzerland

Coop is building a large logistics and distribution centre and the largest bakery in Switzerland in Schafisheim, Aargau. On behalf of the construction company Marti AG Zurich and the planning engineering firm Basler & Hofmann, Zurich, enertec engineering ag has developed and installed a measuring system to measure the force in selected columns. Loads of up to 25,000 kN occur in the columns. Not only do the load cells have to transfer the very high forces safely to the piles under the columns, but the forces also have to be measured very accurately. The development, manufacture and assembly had to be realised within a tight time frame. The installation of the measurement technology had to be carried out in time with the construction site without disrupting the construction process. Our experienced employees completed the task to the customer's complete satisfaction.
